Virgin Trains is using Dudson to supply its Pendolino service with new china as part of the new First Class catering offer that was introduced alongside the improved timetable in December.
This order for more than a quarter of a million pieces is enough to equip approximately 300 restaurants and is a very welcome addition to the company order book.
The stylish but simple design of the place settings that will be used throughout the first class accommodation will replace china that had been in use since the start of the Pendolino services in 2004. Better utilisation will mean that the total number of pieces in each individual set will reduce from nine to five.
